Brussow blow for Cheetahs

03rd October 2012 06:50

Heinrich Brussow

Ruled out: Heinrich Brussow

Cheetahs flank Heinrich Brussow has been ruled out for six months after suffering a shoulder injury against Griquas.

It's a major blow to the Cheetahs' Currie Cup hopes, as the discarded Springbok loosie is now the team's fifth back-row forward to be sidelined for the season.

Brussow will now undergo surgery to the shoulder in a bid to return to action as early as possible for next year's Super Rugby competition.

Very tough luck. Been a hard year for Brussouw. Hope he is back and on form next year. Would love to see him and Flo in the same Bok team. Would cause any opposition team sleepless nights.

Feel really sorry for him and the Cheetahs, but the fact is that HM would have only picked him maybe after running out of players as a last resort in talentless Natal...

agh what a fokkop!

Heinrich is surely one of the best unluckiest loosies on the planet with all those injuries.

second only to...Juan Smith.

Great player that he is, he does seem to be made of glass.
