Deon Stegmann: Broke same arm again

Blue Bulls flanker Deon Stegmann has been ruled out for the rest of the season after breaking his arm against Western Province last week.

Blue Bulls team doctor Org Strauss confirmed that the Springbok will be out of action for two months.

"Deon broke the same arm that was injured during the Super Rugby season," Strauss said.

The injury means that coach Pine Pienaar will again have to make changes to his back-row ahead of Saturday's Currie Cup match against the Golden Lions in Pretoria.

Meanwhile, Strauss revealed that Arno Botha will still be on the sidelines for another week or two due to a hamstring strain, but he had good news regarding Springbok wing Bjorn Basson, who has been out of action for two months with a torn intestine.

"Bjorn should be back next week and will be able to start training," he said.
