Taranaki lock Jarrad Hoeata will face a New Zealand Rugby judicial hearing on Wednesday after receiving a yellow card against Waikato.
Hoeata, who has three caps for the All Blacks, was dismissed during the match last Saturday after impeding Waikato's Adam Burn when he had the goal-line unguarded.
A penalty try was awarded to Waikato with Hoeata sent to the sin-bin late in the first half by referee Shane McDermott for an alleged early tackle, in breach of law 10.4 (e).
The card was Hoeata's third yellow for the season, which under the NZR Disciplinary Rules means he is required to appear at a judicial hearing.
The matter will be heard by Judicial Officer Nigel Hampton QC, via video-conference.
