Canterbury have made four changes to their side ahead of Saturday's ITM Cup meeting with Wellington Lions at AMI Stadium in Christchurch.
Coach Tabai Matson has brought back prop Joe Moody while hooker Ben Funnell returns, with experienced front-row Corey Flynn also back from injury but having to settle for warming the bench.
In the backline, Adam Whitelock moves from right wing to outside centre as Robbie Fruean takes a place on the bench. Winger Patrick Osborne will make his first start of the ITM Cup season.
Number eight Nasi Manu plays his 50th match.
Meanwhile, the Lions hand Solomona Sakalia his first start at loosehead, with hooker Dane Coles returning alongside him.
Openside flanker Scott Fuglistaller is also back in the starting XV, which leads to Ardie Savea going to number eight. The backline is unchanged from the one that beat Southland.
