I echo others a proud club gone is always a sad thing .I hope rugby will continue being played there and that soon a new Otago will arise

What a shame. The loss of any club is a loss to the whole game. let's hope that the "powers that be" can find a solution for all those who want to play rugby there.

From the additional quotes on the NZ news sites, it seems at face value that there were some startling shortcomings in governance. I would hope that the giddy thrill of getting a new stadium didn't cause complacency. Also, the sale process and valuation of Carisbrook still has a bit of an aroma about it. But it's history now.
