Edinburgh have released an injury update which states that international centre Matt Scott is expected to be available for selection by December.
Scott had surgery to correct the injury endured as he dislocated his shoulder against Leinster in the last game of the RaboDirect PRO12 season.
Edinburgh's update continued: "Wing Tom Brown sustained knee ligament damage in the club's penultimate game of the season against Munster.
"Tom does not require surgery and is expected to return to training around October, his comeback delayed by an operation to remove his appendix.
"Full-back Jack Cuthbert sustained knee ligament damage while representing Scotland in the HSBC Sevens World Series in London (11 May). Fortunately Jack does not require surgery and is expected to return around September.
"Back-row Mike Coman and prop Willem Nel have both had surgery to correct ongoing knee complaints and are expected to be available for selection around September.
"Finally, prop Allan Dell has had surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle and is expected to be available for selection around October."
