Shock return: Duncan Bell

Former Bath, London Wasps and England prop has sensationally announced his return to pro rugby with the Dragons at the age of 39.

Bell played his last game for Bath two seasons ago, but has been approached by the Rodney Parade outfit to provide cover for the remainder of the season - he starts his first game for the PRO12 side against Glasgow Warriors on Sunday.

With two front row members - Nathan Buck and Daniel Way - out injured, and Francisco Chaparro suspended for ten weeks, the Dragons are short of cover up front.

"I am very excited but also a little nervous," Bell told WalesOnline.

"I have not played a game at this level for a long time. But I felt OK in training and this is a great opportunity I cannot turn down.

"I am eternally grateful to both my employers Chartwell Funding and Lydney for their support. They have both been so accommodating."
