Leinster prop Jack McGrath is doubtful for Friday's home clash with Edinburgh after suffering suspected concussion against Northampton last weekend.
McGrath is undergoing the medical protocols before a decision is made on whether he will play this weekend. He has been covering for the injured Cian Healy and started in the 18-9 loss to the Saints in the Heineken Cup on Saturday.
If McGrath is ruled out it could leave Leinster light in the front row, although New Zealander Michael Bent, who is primarily a tighthead prop, has been packing down on the other side recently.
"You can see it on the video, there is a bit of a tackle as he (McGrath) is carrying the ball and he got a couple of whacks there," Leinster scrum coach Greg Feek told the Irish Times.
"It's not tiddlywinks, so that's going to happen and we'll go through that protocol and see how it goes."
Leinster back-row Sean O'Brien is recoverimg recover from a dead leg but the Irish Province are undecided whether to play him against Edinburgh, while lock Devin Toner also has a heavily bruised leg.
"There are going to be a couple of enforced managerial lay-offs maybe and that might coincide with a couple of bumps and bruises," added Feek of the weekend's selection.
On the positive side the province look set to include scrum-half Isaac Boss for the first time in weeks as he has stepped up his rehabilitation following a hamstring injury.
