Munster outscored Cardiff Blues four tries to one to claim a 31-10 Pro12 victory at Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday.
Munster regained top spot on the table after a convincing triumph in the Welsh capital.
The Irish province scored three tries in the first half through Felix Jones, Damien Varley and James Cronin, while the hosts' only response came through Simon Humberstone's penalty.
Andrew Conway added to the misery after the break with the bonus-point score before Kristian Dacey touched down to regain some pride.
However, the home side couldn't mount a comeback as they succumbed to their fifth league defeat of the season.
Cardiff have endured a difficult start to the campaign and it didn't get any easier against one of the Pro12 title challengers. Despite Humberstone opening the scoring with a penalty, the visitors completely dominated the next 30 minutes, scoring four tries.
Jones was the first to go over following excellent work from former Blues' player Casey Laulala. JJ Hanrahan was on target with the conversion and the Irish side led 7-3.
Varley then crossed the whitewash from close range before Cronin touched down after a turnover allowed the prop a simple run in. Munster's fly-half added a three-pointer late in the half as Rob Penney's men went into the interval with a 24-3 lead.
That was soon extended moments into the second period when Conway latched onto Jones' pass and scampered clear for a fine try.
Although Dacey regained some pride for the Blues by going over, they couldn't add to that score despite yellow cards to CJ Stander and Mike Sherry.
