Injuries piling up for Wales

Dislocated thumb: Ryan Jones

Wales are sweating over the fitness of hooker Richard Hibbard and versatile forward Ryan Jones heading into the upcoming Six Nations Championship.

The duo are looking like joining the Grand Slam holders' long injury list after both were forced off during their Heineken Cup draw with Leicester.

Jones dislocated his thumb and was replaced after 33 minutes while Hibbard then went off holding a shoulder following winning a penalty.

"He dislocated his thumb and I think the bone may have popped out as well," Ospreys coach Steve Tandy told BBC Sport.

"We'll review that on Monday but it doesn't look good for him though."

Wales and Scarlets centre Scott Williams also left the field prematurely on Saturday while Cardiff Blues lock Bradley Davies has been ruled out for several weeks with an ankle ligament problem.

Wales kick-off their Six Nations title defence at home to Ireland on February 2.

First Ireland have a injury crisis ,now Wales, looks a bit of a race to see which country has its players recover first atm.Real shame about R.Jones ,as i weould have picked the entire Ospreys backrow atm to start for Wales, given recent performances aganst Toulouse and Leicester, now i suppose Bearman goes to 6 and T.Falaltau comes in at 8,so not a total disaster imo.I would also be tempted to move G.North to centre as J.Roberts imo is still way down on form ,so E.Walker can play.SH atm is also a bit of a problem area for Wales ,as M.Phillips is not playing well, and is lacking in pace andhis pass atm.Anyway awaiting the welsh squad announcment eagerly .

Hey you know what Wales!?! there's this place in poland where you can sit in these fridges to speed up the recovery process. Apparently it's garanteed to ensure victory against South Sea Island teams.
