Scarlets lock Jake Ball has been cited for an incident that hospitalised Munster flanker Niall Ronan on Sunday.
Ronan was stretchered off in the 35th minute with a head/neck injury during his side's RaboDirect PRO12 loss to the Welsh region at Musgrave Park.
Matchday citing commissioner John West deemed the act contrary to IRB regulation 10.4 (k), which states: "Dangerous play in a scrum, ruck or maul. Players must not charge into a ruck or maul without binding."
Following a scan on Monday, Ronan was found not to have sustained serious injury in the incident.
