Berquist looks good? Strength in depth? One result doesn't make a season, but how's that one eyed optimism working for you?

I would argue that as good an acquisition for Leinster as Sykes is, the re-signing of Jamie Hagan from Connacht could prove even better. One of the best props in the country, his partnership with Heinke van der Merwe should blossom whilst Ross & Healy are in NZ, meaning that the Leinster scrum should be as strong as ever during the first two months of the season. Having been to both pre-season friendlies, Matt Berquist looks a very shrewd signing too, as does Fionn Carr.

This season sees Leinster displaying possibly the greatest strength in depth of any team in the league, through both a strong signing policy as well as no fear when it comes to assimilating youth into the set up in the shapes of O'Malley, Conway, Cooney, Ruddock (possibly Ruddocks plural) & Kearney Jr.

Plus we still have Isa all season long!

can't wait for the new season to start... I was kinda hoping that with the new sponsors, they would scrap the playoffs and just make it a straight league...it would have been a travesty last year if Munster had lost in the final as they were by far the better and most consistent team throughout...

still can't see beyond Leinster or Munster winning it - judging by the squads that they have...I think that they will be pushed to the wire by Blues, Scarlets and Ulster - unless there is a real surprise and Connacht turn in a good season

I have to agree with 'tombomb', Munster have not bought well this season altough MaGahan has said that they will be looking to buy in a centre, I'm hoping that the reason is that they have faith in the players coming up, of which their are some very promising ones.

I've read this morning that their season ticket sales have dropped by 15%, it seems 'The Brave and The Faithful' are not so Faithful anymore.

What a stupid, stupid name...

RaboDirect PRO12!? I don't care how much money these monopolising, greedy companies "put into rugby" - I would love to see the day that it is illegal to attach corporate names to the names of stadiums, teams and tournaments...

Where does this end? "That was a Woolworths knock-on"... "Oh my - a Lloyds TSB high-tackle!" "What a brilliant O2 off-load by Santander Sonny-Bill Williams!"

I love the fact that Newlands said "you can put your logo anywhere you want, but this is 'Newlands'"... unlike national treasure Ellis Park now being called Coca-Cola Park! If I had enough money, I would've bought Loftus down the road and called it Pepsi Park, just to p them off...

who ever the person is that is making signings of players for ulster and leinster is great these signings are fantastic but who ever is making the signings for munster is s**t and should be fired like if you could only have five internationals players and you had loads of money like munster have would you buy bj botha (injury prone old guy) mafi(good but not great) wian du preez(average) and Peter Borlase(who) apart from doug howlet these guys are just filler on the other hand jarred payne is the perfect signing a player that is young and good enough to be whit the squad for a long time and can qualify to player for ireland like leinsters richardt strauss ireland is only a small country and not many people play rugby most people play GAA here so we have to make the best of what we got

I always find it strange how few Australians decide to come to the Premiership or Celtic/Italian League. Speaking of which I wish to suggest that it be hence known as the RDP-12 until someone has the God Blessed mercy to make an official change to the worst named sports league in the world.
