Making his mark: James Broadhurst

Hurricanes second rower James Broadhurst has signed up with the Wellington franchise for two more seasons.

The 25-year-old, who made his Super Rugby debut in 2010, has come to the fore in recent months after starting the season as a second-string player.

However, the Taranaki man has now cemented his spot as Jeremy Thrush's partner in the second row, beating off the challenge of the experienced Jason Eaton, Mark Reddish and Blade Thomson.
