Rebels coach Damien Hill had made ten changes to his side which will do battle with the Brumbies on Friday.

Hill's men head to Canberra to face the Australian Conferences leaders having been hard-hit by injuries and international call-ups. Scott Higginbotham, Hugh Pyle and Jarrod Saffy all miss the match after picking up injuries against the Reds last time out while James O'Connor, Nick Phipps and Shota Horie are on international duty.

Gareth Delve takes over both the captaincy and the number eight jersey from Higginbotham while Luke Jones and Jordy Reid come in at five and six respectively.

Nic Stirzaker takes over from Phipps at scrum-half while Bryce Hegarty will attempt to fill the void left by O'Connor.

Former Wallaby Luke Burgess looks set for an early run in Rebels colours after being named among the replacements despite originally signing for the Melbourne outfit from next season.

Another player who could make his debut for the Rebels is lock/loose forward James King. The former Blues man is joined on the bench by Tim Davison who has not turned out for the franchise this term. In the final change, the uncapped hooker Pat Leafa gets his first shot at Super Rugby in Horie's absence.

"The team has come a long way over the last eight games, and with 10 changes this week we are looking forward to testing our squad depth against a strong Brumbies outfit," commented Hill.
