Rebels playmaker James O'Connor has denied that he is leaving the Melbourne-based franchise to further his career at the Brumbies.
The 22-year-old dismissed rumours, in the Australian media, that he is on his way to the two-times champions and revealed that he is enjoying his stint at the Rebels since joining them from the Western Force in 2012.
"I've loved my time in Melbourne and at the moment I don't see any reason for leaving this place," O'Connor told AAP.
"There's a good group of guys. We're very tight.
"I've got a lot of friends here and I'm enjoying the organisation."
The Wallaby utility back has also defended Rebels coach Damien Hill, who is under fire after his side lost five of their six matches so far this season.
"I've got 100 per cent confidence in Damien Hill," O'Connor added.
"All of the structures he's had this year have been spot on."
