Southern Kings hooker Virgile Lacombe has voiced his frustration after flying to Christchurch only to be told to get back onto a plane to Port Elizabeth.
The two-time Heineken Cup winner was one of two 'foreign' players told to return to South Africa after the Kings' decision to back down in their stand-off with SARU over the number of foreigners in their squad.
Lacombe and Argentinean back-row Tomas Leonardi have been recalled ahead of Saturday's clash with the Crusaders after the Kings fielded three overseas players against the Chiefs in contravention of SARU rules.
The 28-year-old Frenchman used Twitter to air his discontent and took aim at the Chairman of the Kings board, Cheeky Watson.
"Back to square one, nothing to do with sport...How does one regard professional rugby after this??" Tweeted the former Toulouse hooker.
Lacombe replied to another Tweet saying he was "waiting to see the chairman" and would seek an explanation from Watson.
"He should have a found a solution before he recruited us and above all warned us about the situation," he added.

A good hooker now on the 'willing to transfer' list I'm sure. His agent is probably already on the phone.

This situation is utterly amazing and incomprehensible. How can the management of the Kings and the SARFU find themselves in this situation now? It seems the decision to bring in the Kings has been set up without any thought whatsoever, or somebody cheeky in Port Elizabeth has decided to make his own rules.
