Springbok and Bulls loose forward Jacques Potgieter has extended his stay at the Blue Bulls Company (Pty) Ltd, it was confirmed on Wednesday.
The robust flanker joined the Blue Bulls in 2011 from the Eastern Province Kings and immediately made an impact with his powerful style of play.
He continued his fine form in the 2012 Super Rugby season, in which he made his Bulls debut. Excellent performances at that level saw him being picked to play for the Springboks in 2012.
Commenting on the extension of his contract, Potgieter said the Bulls style of play benefits him.
"I am very happy in Pretoria and have progressed so much as a player since my arrival here. I would like to stay on and develop my game even further. The great work ethic makes it easy to operate here if you believe in working hard," he told the Bulls website.
BBC High Performance Manager Xander Janse van Rensburg was very pleased with the contractual development and praised flanker Potgieter's style as ideal for the franchise.
"Jacques has shown himself as one of the most committed and versatile loose forwards in the country over the last couple of seasons. His abrasiveness fits well with our style of play and to have him around till at least the end of November 2015 is a bonus for us," he said.
