League wont overtake rugby, half of Aucklands schools won't buy into it and there is plenty of talent about but it is a reminder to them that they need to be on their game, although their own recently developed high performance systems are starting to bear fruit. Just on the topic , it is surprising the NRL scouts haven't been into the SA market yet, there would be a jackpot of talent there as well.

Carpelone, don't knock the man for having a pie, but it's lucky he has two hands and only one mouth.

they need these 'name' signings; big competition ahead for young talent in Auckland as two Akld millionaires want league as #1 and have bankrolled an elite academy and a new secondary schools competition for 2013, NRL scouts attend Akld rugby 1st XV games and follow the Akl U-18 side, offering big-money deals and contracts, if the Akld rugby profile slips further league may well overtake them locally.
