Trinats - re Lawrence and Munro - those two were (possibly) responsible for the Crusaders not being higher on the table - their contributions to the Hurricanes 23-22 win certainly showed no favours to the Crusaders side.

Another conspiracy in tatters.

Regardless of where the Reds play the Crusaders, the Reds will win (unless Bryce Lawrence is starting for the Crusaders !!!!)

There has been much emotive comment regarding the matter of Mr Cooper. Do the REDS deserve their place in a home semi-final? Well they are the TOP Australian Team! The anomally in the conference system is that regardless of how weak a particular conference is, that the winner of any conference will automatically be placed in the top three. The other two conferences have been far more competitive this year than the Australian Conference.

The REDS have ridden lady luck very well this time around... and may even squeak through with a win against the 'jet lagged' SHARKS. Should they win, will they beat the STORMERS (away from home) the following weekend?

The CRUSADERS will also be lurking around as a potential finals opponent.... Now that would be a great FINAL - a replay of last year! REDS v CRUSADERS! (played in Brisbane of course - because the REDS finished 3rd and the CRUSADERS ONLY finished 4th)

So tired of hearing that Cooper is tackle shy. His defence isnt the best because his technique isnt great, but it is improving. To say he doesnt like the contact is ludicrous. Kiwis and Saffas hate him because its his job to make their defence look bad. (see youtube for countless examples) Just be grateful his defence isnt as good as his attack. If it was, there wouldnt be a player in world rugby who would come close.

Harsh. First tackle he makes in his life and he gets 1 week.

Nevermind. Lets hope the Sharks knock them out for finishing 6th and hosting a semi. Flawed.

My god, I hope SuperRugbys integrity (or whats left of it) is done justice and the Sharks win. Reds dont even deserve a playoff let alone a Suncorp home game.

Please Sharks... do the world of rugby a favor. Please.

Ripzy007 says...

OH NO Please get him back to the starting 15...I cannot bear to listen to Trinats BS about the Reds not having a full team AGAIN...I hope they win...

Ridiculous. Rugby is really getting as weak as piss when that tackle warrants punishment.

new_j4a says...

@Trinats2, he does have the ball, but I know that look. He's about to throw it up in the air so he doesn't have to take the contact.

Compare Coopers high tackle to Elstadt's similar one in the Stormers Rebels game. Only a penalty and no "white card" or yellow for that matter. Has the in game white card completely removed any other offences being cited after the game? If this was cited you would expect he would get at least a week, putting further strain on an already strained Stormers backrow.

complete and utter joke. reds will smash them anyway and quade gets a rest thats if they dont appeal the ban.

If they want to penalise the reds for Cooper's foul they should allow him to play :)

Thank God he only got 1 week he is the AB's best attacking weapon

tha_mai:

shows your level of knowledge, Cooperman has the ball, why would he be tackling ???

Posted 14:14 16th July 2012

Wallaroo says...

This is utter rubbish, there wasn't any malice intent by Cooper, it was accidental.

BTW tha_mai the way we have been playing lately they could have sent all 22 and the spectators home and we would have still lost the game - mainly due to penalties against us for collapsing the scrum and crocked throws in the line-outs of course.
