ladies, please
BokAvenger -- surely youre taking the piss about haskell being a "marked man"?
JamieTheProp -- surely youre also taking the piss about english scrums destroying various things? even if england or ireland or scotland or finland or sweden or whoever had better scrums than SA or Aus for that that matter, which they dont, it means less than squat. you blokes have to realise that 5 is a bigger number than 3 (i mean that in both ways it can be applied).
Trinats-- not your best work

funny to see how this article has descended into England and South African fans slagging each other off...read the comments in the hopes of getting some intelligent discussion - sadly for the most part, that was lacking...surely you guys have some private boards you can post on, and keep your vitriolic crap off this site...
@Cass402 - agree with you...(this is going to sound ironic) but much prefer to see someone throwing a punch then gouging or stamping...

An Englishman punches an opponent in a rugby match...how is that news, oh hang on he's English. Cue usual suspects from the veldt and the "see you behind the bike sheds after school" crap or "my mates are going to get you". I would rather have some one punch me in the mush than have some one trying to haul my eyes out of their sockets which seems to be your flankers retribution of choice.

With a name like rugbylover, I thought you'd love rugby. Maybe not.
Have you considered a name change to 'Englandhater'. That seems more appropriate.

@jamietheprop, I wouldn't write Haskell off just yet, playing overseas doesn't make him ineligible there just needs to be "exceptional circumstances". Given Wood and Croft are now on the sick list?????????
Would also be interested to see what happens to Cipriani and Gerachty on their return. After Flood and Farrell, there's a little bit of a gap before the promising youngsters and, given the squad size going, we may yet see one of them on the plane.

At brands, one resorts to punching once beaten and no where else to go.Let's face it a punch has less affect than a thumping good tackle.
Oh penalty against you, sin bin 10min and ban(3weeks) this time, clearly not much going on upstairs.

@ BokAvenger - whilst I agree that JamieTheProp may have over-egged the custard a little, using a clip of a different team, with different playersm, in different times isn't very reperesentative. Otherwise we could say, "Watch out Saffas! There's some of this waiting for you!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uynys0SY1Q
Equally pointless, although equally good fun to watch.
Then again, we could look at this (about 1m in on the video, about 8 mins in according to the match). No, England didn't "destroy" the SA pack, but you were penalised... And, yes, I am aware of the final score too.
JamieTheProp is right inasmuch as JH is very unlikely to be touring. But even if he was, your pathetic "threats" make you sound like a child who's going to run to teacher every time someone's nasty to him. And unless Butch James is playing, I'd expect (and hope) the Saffa players to play hard but clean, as they usually do. You obviously like to encourage poor sportsmanship and foul play, but I don't.
So let's get back to the rugby and stop these pathetic and childish rants of yours.

@Felly - I agree with the point you make but cricket? Haha yeah right.
I'm a cricket fan too & the message boards on cricinfo are just as bad as every other on the web. We are all human & it's easy to get carried away when we don't have to say it to someones face.

Some truly pathetic, egocentric comments creeping in on planet rugby!! Some of you got anything better to do than slag off the English/anyone else 24/7? No? How sad! Respect in this day and age just doesn't exist in sport except cricket, their fans put us to shame!!!
Think this ruling is fair in the interest of setting a good example to all, especially as the poor flanker who took the hit looked a bit hurt. Poor behaviour by Haskell really! He'll learn from it hopefully..oh wait he's English, of COURSE he's just dirty as they all are, each and every one, including the women, and the children...and their pets...

need to concentrate on our scrum destroying yours? when has the england scrum destroyed a bok scrum? england's pack is good no doubt about it but they'll be playing at a different level in June. Can't wait to see them 'destroy' the bok scrum..

@ rugbylover - get over yourself!
"A disgrace, but typical of the England team last year." Because English players are the only people to ever punch another player on a rugby pitch..?! Don't be daft.
They're no angels and have never claimed to be, but their on-pitch discipline record for "thuggery" isn't better or worse than anyone else's.
And just to use some stats to prove my point:
In the history of the RWC 16 Red Cards have been issued:
Tonga x 3; Canada x 3; Wales x 2; SA x 2; Samoa x 2; Arg x 1; Aus x 1; Fiji x 1 and Namibia x 1. NZ, Fra, Eng & Ire have never had a red card at a RWC.
RWC 2011 stats:
Red cards - Wales x 1 & Samoa x 1 (both got us "chatting" didn't they?!)
Yellow cads - Canada x 3; USA x 2, Eng x 2; Nam x 2; Arg x 1; Fra x 1; Italy x 1; Jap x 1; NZ x 1; Rom x 1; Rus x 1; Sam x 1; SA x 1.
One of England's yellows was for offside (repeated infringements by the team), the other for hands in the ruck. Neither could be described as "thuggish" or similar.
So how does that make us a "disgrace"?
I think you need to reconsider your username, as you're obviously not one.

@JamieTheProp: Your scrum destroying ours??? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Last time I checked the only thing that got destroyed when the Boks and English met at scrum time was Phil Vickery's career.

@ BokAvenger - as Haskell isn't playing in England at the moment he isn't eligible to play for England so I doubt he will be coming to South Africa in the summer. But I imagine as a professional rugby player and big lump he can take a few digs. If I were you I'd concentrate less on Haskell and more on how you are going to stop our scrum destroying yours.
@ rugbylover - have you ever actually played rugby? Have you ever actually played in the forwards? Tempers boil over and punches are thrown and that is just part of the game. England don't have a particularly bad record when it comes to violent conduct so really does sound like you have an axe to grind.

Give me a break Rugby Lover, you never know what caused him to lash out and neither will you. As a reff, sadly you usually see the retaliation never the cause. Anyway he's punished for it, move on and grow up. The odd bit of handbags has been round for years and contrary to all this typical England crap all countries and teams have done it at some time. We'll be bringing out the talcum powder and perfume next for some of you lot. It's the boot to the head, eye gouging, tip tackle, straight arm (O'Driscoll has been on the wrong end of one of those but I can't remember where) and other similar stuff that is the main problem in the game.
