aru4eva... the same issue is faced by Northern Hemisphere rugby.
And tou are right, the solution is to promote the game at school/club level to build player depth.. Can not be easy in Aus however when the game is less popular than so many others

A recurring problem for the WF. It is only natural for those from the East wanting to return. We need a greater focus on the development of local talent, which means the development of the local rugby comp -> statewide. Perhaps the development of a public schools tournament + added focus on the PSA comp. In doing so we not only create a larger pool of WA players but also supporters with a sense of pride for WA based rugby.
