Western Force are looking forward to having Australian Sevens exponent James Stannard back with the squad for their Super 15 campaign.
The scrum-half, who played ten games during 2008 for the Perth franchise before continuing his development in the smaller-sided game, has recently been selected in the squad that will run out at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
But upon his return he will become a XV a-side member again, with the 27-year-old set to compete alongside Brett Sheehan and the currently injured half-back Justin Turner.
"James is a quality player and during his time at the club previously was a popular figure amongst team mates and supporters alike," said RugbyWA CEO Vern Reid.
"He was very keen to return and we're looking forward to having him back playing for the Emirates Western Force.
"He will complement our stocks at scrum-half and we have no doubt he'll fit into the system very quickly and be a strong contributor for the Force next season."
