Frustrated: Matt Giteau

Brumbies fly-half Matt Giteau has admitted he'ss not playing at his best, but is adamant he will bounce back against the Sharks in Canberra on Saturday.

The Wallabies star is struggling to find the form that has given him a reputation as one of the most potent attacking threats in the Super 14.

Giteau struggled to make an impact during last week's 24-13 win over the Lions in his first match back at Canberra Stadium in Brumbies' colours, since joining from the Western Force.

His struggles were highlighted when in his first involvement in the game, he kicked the ball out on the full from the kick-off.

"I'm frustrated like everyone else," Giteau told AAP.

"There's times where I feel I'm trying to push things. I've just got to relax a little more and I think like with the rest of the side, things will happen."

While the Brumbies have now won three from four, their inability to lock away a bonus point remains a major problem. They have not scored a bonus point yet this season and will be wary that a similar lack last year saw them narrowly miss out on making the play-offs.

Giteau warned the team needs to ensure it does not become a habit.

"We've got to start getting bonus point wins," said Giteau.

Brumbies coach Andy Friend concedes the bonus point factor is a concern, and said the side's inability to execute at crucial times was hurting the side.

"The mindset is there to get that fourth try, it's just the ability to control the footy for long enough to make sure it happens," said Friend.

"Against the Lions, we got down in the A zone on too many occasions and didn't come away with points and that's what hurts.

"We had 24 minutes where we'd scored left and we needed one more try and we continued to work to the line but then we just weren't good enough to execute."
