Hurricanes and Samoa flanker Jack Lam will link up with second-tier English side Bristol by the end of the week.
Lam's move had been questioned after Bristol failed to win promotion to the Premiership for next season, losing out to London Welsh.
The Bristol Post though have confirmed Lam will arrive in the UK this week to link up with his new team-mates.
Bristol are back in pre-season training with a number of their high profile signings on board.
Dwayne Peel, the former Wales scrum-half, has been named first-team captain after arriving from Sale Sharks.
Other recruits including British and Irish Lions lock Ian Evans and young fly-half Matthew Morgan, along with David Lemi and Anthony Perenise.
Lam, 26, won over 50 caps for the Hurricanes between 2011-2014 and has represented Samoa on eight occasions since making his Test debut in 2013.
