TIM MOLENAAR HARLEQUINS

Experience: Tim Molenaar

London Welsh have announced the signing of experienced centre Tim Molenaar from Harlequins for their return to the Premiership.

A powerful, hard tackling centre, Molenaar, 33, made 19 appearances for Quins last season, including starting the club's Aviva Premiership semi-final with Saracens.

He joined Harlequins from Gloucester in October 2013 after making 75 first team appearances and scoring ten tries for the Cherry and Whites in his four seasons at Kingsholm.

During that time he helped Gloucester lift the LV= Cup in 2011 and reach the Premiership play-offs in 2010/11.

Born in Masterton, New Zealand, Molenaar previously played over 100 league games for Nottingham, whom he joined in 2005.

"This is another important piece of our recruitment plans for next season," said London Welsh head coach Justin Burnell.

"Tim is another player with a lot of Premiership experience that we had targeted and he will provide a physicality that will complement our other centres and give us various combinations in the midfield."
