Bath deal: Luke Arscott

Bath have announced the signing of full-back Luke Arscott, who joins on a two-year contract from Exeter as a replacement for Nick Abendanon.

The 29-year-old brings experience as well as talent to the young backline after being a stand-out player at the Chiefs for the last four seasons.

"We are really pleased Luke is joining us. We had a gap in the squad for a more experienced out-and-out full-back, and Luke fits the bill perfectly. He's got all the attributes you'd expect, and he'll be a very good fit at the club," said coach Mike Ford.

Arscott added: "I'm very excited by the opportunity to join Bath, and I'm looking forward to linking up with the squad for pre-season. You can see how much they have developed this year, and the potential that is still there, so it will be great to be part of that going forward into the new season."
