Wasps fans will have mixed feelings after the club revealed its injury list and a lengthy lay-off for many players.
Imminent returns for Andrea Masi, Jake Cooper-Woolley and Nathan Hughes are balanced by the recent injury to Tom Varndell and the ongoing absence of a number of other first team players.
Neil Cochrane, who recently underwent further knee surgery, is expected to be back in four to six weeks while Cooper-Woolley - suffered a rib cartilage injury against Exeter Chiefs - is set to return to full training in the next few weeks.
Hughes sustained a partial knee ligament tear and is expected to return to full training in the next two weeks.
Meanwhile, Jacobs has sustained significant ligament damage that required surgery and is expected to be out for around six months.
Italian international Masi is now back in full training and will be involved this weekend.
Jack Moates, who underwent surgery following his knee injury, is expected to be out for six to nine months, Hugo Southwell has been in treatment for a complex hamstring injury and is continuing his rehab programme. There has been no date set for his return.
Varndell has seen a surgeon who confirmed that he has ruptured his bicep and requires an operation. He is expected to be out for around twelve weeks.
Finally, England wing Christian Wade sustained significant foot ligament damage that required surgery. He is expected to be out for another four months.
