Alex Goode Saracens v Worcester AVP 2013

Alex Goode scores Saracens' third try

Saracens picked up the fastest try bonus-point of the Premiership season as they defeated Worcester Warriors 26-8 at Sixways Stadium.

Worcester's survival hopes took another blow, as they slumped to their eleventh straight defeat.

Saracens' four first half tries were more than enough to secure a win which highlighted the gap in quality between the top and bottom place.

The Warriors stay nine points adrift of London Irish at the foot of the table.

Worcester started brightly, but after Ignacio Mieres' early penalty, they were breached. Failing to retain possession from kick off, Dean Ryan's men allowed Saracens in for a try in the corner through David Strettle.

Schalk Brits then powered through a failing Warriors line to barrel over under the sticks.

Saracens, the top scorers in the league this season, were in a comfortable lead without having to play at their best.

The game was all but over after just 25 minutes, with Alex Goode taking in Tim Streather's offload to cruise over.

Charlie Hodgson's superb solo try secured a bonus point within half an hour. The Premiership's all time leading try scorer brilliantly chipped over the top of the Worcester line, taking the ball on the bounce to cross and end the game as a contest before the break.

A Worcester try lifted the spirits before half time. A rolling maul was powered over to give the home faithful something to cheer. Leonardo Senatore found himself at the bottom of the pile, to send the Warriors in with something to build on for the second half.

Despite some promising play in the second half, the Warriors never looked like significantly closing down the huge lead Saracens had amassed early on.

In a pointless 40 minutes, Jeremy Sua's spill just a couple of metres out for Worcester was the closest either side came.
