New Leicester Tigers signing Jamie Gibson is soaking up the experience of his new team-mates during pre-season.
Gibson joined Leicester from London Irish during the off-season and has settled in well to his new environment.
The 22-year-old England Saxons player believes learning from the likes of British and Irish Lions blindside Tom Croft and veteran openside Julian Salvi will stand him in good stead.
Furthermore, Gibson is hopeful for more international recognition having joined the Tigers.
"Working here with the likes of Julian Salvi, Tom Croft and the back row boys who have been there and done it, it was a big draw for me to have a chance to learn directly from them," said Gibson to the Leicester Tigers website.
"It's the little things that, as you start training, you pick up from watching people and talking to them and when you look back you wonder how you missed that before. It seemed so easy.
"Over the next three or four weeks, as the pre-season games start, that will really pick up.
"One of the big draws, especially as a forward, is that if you can play successfully for Leicester Tigers then there's the chance you could go on and play for England.
"To take the next step, to push on, this is the place to be and that is one of my goals."
