Newcastle Falcons scrum-half Chris Pilgrim has secured his immediate future at the newly-promoted club by signing a contract extension.
The 27-year-old missed much of last season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, but the club have shown faith in the man they signed from Nottingham in 2009.
"I am delighted to be staying with the club and being a northern lad it means a lot to me to represent Newcastle Falcons," said Pilgrim.
"After a tough year personally, I am excited at the prospect of competing for the number nine jersey again."
The length of Pilgrim's new contract has not been disclosed.
