New deal: Rob Miller

Sale Sharks have announced that full-back Rob Miller and openside flanker Dan Braid have signed new contracts with the Aviva Premiership outfit.

Miller joined the club in 2010 having served the early part of his career at Newcastle Falcons and Tynedale. He has been a regular in the first team for the last two seasons and was the Aviva Premiership leading try-scorer last season.

"I have enjoyed my three seasons at the club and was delighted to agree a new deal. We have some great young players who have come through the system and we also have some great experienced players too. I am looking to play my part in any future success the club has with Dimes in charge as Director of Rugby," he said.

Braid has extended his contract having joined the club at the start of the year. Initially he signed to the end of this season but his performances have earned him an extended deal at Salford City Stadium.

"I came over here the first week of 2013 when Dimes signed me and everyone at the club has made me and my family very welcome. We have some good players here at Sale Sharks and I am looking forward to spending my time here in the North West," he said.

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond added that he was delighted to have tied in the duo.

"Rob and Dan signing new deals is our statement of intent here at Sale Sharks," he said.

"Rob has made the full-back position his own and he not only defends and attacks well but is a very capable kicker and has nailed several important kicks for us recently. Dan has slotted in perfectly at the club, he is a leader and a no nonsense flanker. Since joining us he has been one of our stand out players and everyone at the club is delighted that he has committed himself to the club."
