Northampton Saints have named Alan Dickens as their new backs coach on a temporary basis following the departure of Paul Grayson.
Former Sale, Leeds and Saracens scrum-half Dickens has been working with the club's academy since hanging up his boots in 2010.
He will fill in while Saints director of rugby Jim Mallinder looks to replace Grayson.
"Alan will come in and change things up a bit," Mallinder told the Northampton Chronicle and Echo.
"He's got his own ideas, he's his own man, he's doing really well with the academy and the Wanderers, who've had a great season, and we'll see how that goes.
"I'm sure Alan would love the job, and why wouldn't you?"

Let's see how he goes before getting anyone else in, the wanderers and other age sides have been looking really good this last season or two, let's give him a chance to do the same with the first XV...
