Leicester Tigers were dealt a double blow with news that captain Geordan Murphy and wing Miles Benjamin have been sidelined through injury.
Tigers coach Richard Cockerill revealed that full-back Murphy suffered a knee injury during last weekend's 9-9 draw against Saracens at Wembley and will miss Saturday's clash with Harlequins at Welford Road.
But Benjamin, who joined from Worcester Warriors during the off- season, is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining a neck injury.
"Geordan has a bruised knee and will be (out for) three or four weeks," Cockerill told the Leicester Mercury.
"Unfortunately, Miles suffered a pretty nasty injury to his neck against Northampton in the A League two weeks ago which has resulted in a spinal injury.
"He will be potentially out for three to four months.
"The injuries are disappointing and you don't want them, but that will give opportunities for someone else to come into the side and perform."

Tigers injury jinx hits again. Benjamin was brought in to replace Horacio Agulla, who was let go because he would miss so much time with Argentina. At this rate Agulla will be playing for Bath a long time before Benjamin plays for us!
I hope it isn't too serious and he recovers well and quickly. All the best, Miles.
