Northampton centre Dom Waldouck believes that last season's drama at Wasps has strengthened him as a player for his new career at Saints.
The 24-year-old endured a difficult time of things with injuries at Wasps and was ruled out for the campaign in April with an Achilles problem.
Since then he has relocated to Northampton who have scored two wins in their opening two games, at Gloucester and at home to Exeter Chiefs.
Waldouck played an instrumental role in both those matches for Saints - who lost four of their first five matches last term - and he revealed he's loving the chance to focus on nothing but rugby.
"It was well-documented that there were problems on the field and off the field at Wasps last season," said Waldouck.
"And it is more enjoyable to be part of a more stable environment. I've been made to feel very welcome by the lads and I've settled in at Northampton very well.
"I have to say that people at Wasps like Dai Young were fantastic last season, kept the club going and did amazingly to keep spirits up and they achieved the goal of staying in the division. I fully expect them to be a lot higher this season.
"But at Northampton we've made a great start in terms of results and there is plenty of room for improving a number of things, starting with Bath on Friday."

@ Houston_11 - I've always wondered whether 12Trees and Tuilagi would work. I like a 12 who can sub as a 10, so that you get more options. That's why I liked Catt at 12, outside JW. I suppose it also depends who we're up against...
@ Centre12 - as a fellow Bath fan, I refuse to remove my Blue Black and White-tinted specs for anyone!
BANANAMAN ROCKS!!!

@ APV1
You can take Banahan right out of the mix, good wing, terrible centre and thats at Premiership level let alone International and this comes from a Bath fan.

If he stays fit and performs I'd go with him and Tuilagi... Waldouck is an awesome player who hasn't had the rub of the green.
Not a big fan of Farrell to be honest - I think he looked a bit out of his depth in SA. No creativity whatsoever. But then again, it was a baptism of fire and he's very young - it will be a defining season for both of these guys.

If he continues to improve and remains injury-free, he's going to make England's mid-field selectors' job that little bit harder.
