I'm going to stick with optimism here. Some very experienced coaches here, all of whom may have something to prove. Our backs have never really been an issue so Brad deserves his place. Hopefully a true return for my favourite team!

@frank81 I understand that Edwards is giving them 1 day per week which sounds more like a consultancy position than a coaching one.
@APV1 I suspect that to be a distant reality now.
Obviously my cautionary position is tempered by the desire for them to succeed and I wish them well. My slight concern is that Mr Craig has decided "this is how we win" and recruited to suit that approach. This might also suggest that Andy Robinson (who I think would have been a mistake) was closer to a job in Bath than I thought.

@ jamesliveinhope - good point. Perhaps we might see Catt return after his stint in SA..?

So, we have Gold (forwards), Booth (forwards), Hatley (forwards), Ford (defence).
Now I realise that perhaps our orientation had drifted a little too much towards back play but have we perhaps overcompensated here? Davis is obviously the common denominator when it comes to the change to a more offloading style when Meehan took over but?????????????

Well, there we go then. I had hoped for a return of Mike Catt to the Rec, but alas, no.
But they seem to be a good bunch. let's hope they can all gel together and take us back up the table.

Couldn't we have enticed Shawn Edwards in as part of this new coaching setup? He's off to London Irish now, but he would have been an excellent addition.

Even I can't perform miracles ..... get him to ring Martin Johnson and they could start a motivational speaking company.

Doesn't anyone up there have a job for Peter de Villiers?!!! He's been moaning that he can't find work in SA. Good luck with that p-divvy.
