Toulon fly-half and captain Jonny Wilkinson believes his star-studded squad can win every game they play this season.

The European champions ran in six tries in a confident start to their title defence against Glasgow Warriors last Sunday, winning 51-28.

Having recruited more big names following the arrivals of Ali Williams, Bryan Habana and Drew Mitchell, Wilkinson highlighted the drive within the squad to succeed as the reason for his confidence.

So far this season Toulon have lost three matches - all away from home to Grenoble, Castres and Oyonnax in the Top 14 - as they sit top of the table on points difference level with Montpellier and Toulouse.

"It's not because we're arrogant, it's just a matter of attitude. We believe we can win every game we play," Wilkinson told L'Equipe.

"This is how we create the path of our history.

"There's a lot of pride, desire and ambition to go far. It will be very difficult with the teams there are, but we'll continue to look at every game... you never know."

Wilkinson was forced to leave the field after half an hour against Glasgow with a thumb injury, but after have stitches on the cut is expected to play against Cardiff Blues on Sunday.

"I feel good right now. I'm sure if I have to play, I'm available," added Wilkinson.
