Edinburgh will be full of confidence when they face Racing Metro in their Heineken Cup clash in Paris on Saturday after finally ending their run of seven consecutive losses.
Back-to-back victories in the PRO12 over the reigning champions Ospreys and Connacht have given last season's Heineken Cup semi-finalists a timely boost ahead of their visit to Paris.
Michael Bradley's troops beat Racing Metro twice last season on their way to the semi-finals, 48-47 at home and 27-24, and two more successes would at least move them off the bottom of the Pool table.
"We badly needed a win for our confidence and the forwards went very well against the Ospreys," Bradley told the ERC website.
"We had five players coming back from international duty in Connacht last weekend and it was vital that we built on the momentum of the Ospreys game.
"Connacht is always a desperately difficult place to go and get a win, and the players should be very proud of themselves for doing that, but we need to stop making it so difficult in the future.
"It was a very tight game and we're very happy to have got over the line and make it two wins in a row."
Edinburgh's main aim is to score their first points in this season's European campaign.
They were thrashed 45-0 by Saracens in their opening game at Murrayfield and then lost 33-0 in Munster in Round two.
