Cardiff Blues have been handed some encouraging news ahead of Sunday's Heineken Cup fixture against Toulon, with Sam Warburton expected to play.
Following a check-up with Cardiff specialists, the Blues can confirm that their captain and openside flanker will not require surgery on his finger.
"Warburton dislocated his finger in the loss to Sale on Sunday. Having had the finger put back in its socket at Salford Royal Infirmary Blues medical staff are now waiting for the finger joint to settle," read a statement by the region on Monday.
"However, it is expected that Sam will be fit to play against Toulon on Sunday."

To be honest, Tipuric just doesn't do well enough if the Ospreys aren't going forward. Warburton if fit remains clearly the first choice.
