that is a ridiculous and ill-informed post.

I'd be livid if I was a tax-payer in Toulouse. Can you imagine the local council in Leicester coughing up £6 M for a private training facility ?

Wonder why Noves chose the Chiefs model rather than Crusaders? Good foresight given the year Chiefs have had but Crusaders are the benchmark and likely Chiefs could learn from Toulouse rather than vica versa three years ago when this was kicked off.
Then again SBW seems to prefer Chiefs set up after his chch stint.

I get fed up with some of the people who comment on planet rugby. They just moan about everything

You just can't please some of the people at any time. Great idea and about time clubs got more interested in training and development as well as sports science. As for the idea that Toulouse don't bring on youth, go jump in a lake, they probably bring on more young players than any other club in France, but to be the best they try to get those who they think are the best. Sour grapes that is. Anyway how many people do Toulouse Rubgy bring to Toulouse. Heinekin Cup rugby brings crowds from Ireland, Scotland and England as well as attracting visitors with an interest in the sport. I bet they spend more than 3 million in one year so its not as expensive as it sounds. From my part as long as Toulouse continue to play open attacking rugby with heads up, I shall be delighted. Though the last few matches of last season were far from entertaining, so get a grip on the style boys.

I don't see what's wrong in acquiring new training facilities. That's a very important part of a professional sport organisation.

This is just typical of Toulouse. They throw there money around when they should be investing in french qualified players and doing on field work and adding another string to their bow. They are such a great team. I genuinely respect them but they are going about it all wrong. The real work is team building and training pitch work and new plays and positive atmosphere not gym or fitness. They should building on the great french off load game and flair which as an Irish man is very impressive. The French sides are so good at off-loading and Toulouse have great players but the real work is needed on the training pitch not in paying for some new facility.

@ papachinzo
Thats because the Toulouse center is seriously impressive, whereas we are just moving to what most AP/Top14 teams have as standard.

Leinster's new "state of the art" felicity cost 5m, that didn't get a whole article nor a mention... why does this ?

"Toulouse will fund one third of the project while the local government will provide the rest. " Yeah, that's me and my local taxes funding Stade Toulouse's future: why can't they fund the whole thing themselves?
