Big Shame
Like you 1792 I was looking forward to seeing him rip a green jersey from someone. His versatility and blatant skill matched with a renewed vigour and hunger had me hopeful of seeing a 2008-9 esque fitzgerald going to NZ!
Leinster would be foolish to let him leave!

On the upside it presents a chance for Zebo and Dave Kearney but i feel bad for Fitzgerald he has been so unlucky with injury's and has looked exiting since his return.

brilliant player, bad news for leinster and ireland.
ireland would have liked him for the tour to new zealand.
i really like this winger, very exciting.
hes had a rough few years, id love to see him back in the irish team.

Fitzgerald has certinally had his injury problems this year .which is a shame as he is an exciting player to watch .I also think Leinster and he will come to an agreement and he will be a Leinster player next season .after all he wants his international place back ,and if he plays outside Ireland that would be very doughtful given DKs pecurilarities in not picking any overseas player despite form ect

disappointing news. normally i would say that we might see him back fully fit and raring to go in september for the new season, but the continuing uncertainty over his contract talks means we may well have seen him in a blue shirt for the last time. pure ragers :( whatever happens, get well soon Fitzy
on the plus side, this opens the door for a youngster to prove his worth. can Fadders play on the left? Fionn Carr certainly can. Kearns the Younger has already started some Heineken games on that wing...he would be my choice
