A big loss for Ulster but imo entirly warrented it was a very bad tackle on Jones .4weeks also seems lenient imo 6-8 weeks would seem more appropiate imo.Im guessing though its one of those situations where its unintentional and the time left in the season was taken into consideration

@ makemehappy:

You're 100% right - how did Poite not call it - he was looking right at it. I wish people would stop referring to him as one of the best referees in the world (Sky Sports pundits in particular).

Every match I watch when he's referee, he becomes the main talking point - it's not supposed to be that way.

The perfomances of referees need to be heavily scrutinised and and sanctioned, so we can get some consistency.

A legitimate tackle by Ferris in the 6N cost Ireland the game against Wales due to a terrible decision by the Ref, and another terrible decision by a ref to overlook a very bad tackle, arguably cost Munster the match against Ulster. Where's the consistency!

There's too much riding on these games nowadys to get such big decisions horribly wrong.

Very lenient - 10 was a minimum I'd have said. How did the ref miss it though? I'm sure he didn't so he should have a life time ban - or a year's season ticket to watch Munster - he'll have a warm welcome.

From the perspective of Irish Rugby - this is very disappointing. He is a massive loss and a big boost for Edinburgh going into the Semi's.

However - the ban is completely warrented. It was a very bad tackle and we need to get this type of tackle out of the game ASAP, before somebody is seriously injured.

A hard legitmate tackle has just as much of an impact as these crazy tip tackle's that are all the rage at the moment.

Is it just me or does Afoa bear more than a passing ressemblance to Cutty from The Wire?
