Jesse Mogg: To go under the knife

Wallaby full-back Jesse Mogg is set to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery according to Australian media reports.

Mogg, who made his Test debut in the series decider as a replacement against the British and Irish Lions in August, was in the Wallabies' starting XV for their opening 47-29 and 27-16 Bledisloe Cup defeats to New Zealand.

But according to AAP, the 24-year-old, who was subsequently replaced in the number 15 jersey by Israel Folau, will now meet with his surgeon on Thursday.

Mogg's injury kept him on the sidelines for three weeks of the Brumbies' Super Rugby campaign and is the latest injury setback for the Wallabies after Nick Cummins broke his hand in Saturday's Test against Argentina in Perth.
