All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has added fly-halves Colin Slade and Tom Taylor to his squad ahead of Saturday's Rugby Championship clash against Australia.

The Kiwis have a handful of injury concerns after their 47-29 win over the Wallabies in Sydney and as such head to Wellington this weekend with four extra players.

First choice pivot Dan Carter, who missed the Bledisloe Cup opener, continues to struggle with a hamstring injury while his replacement Aaron Cruden has a sore knee. Beauden Barrett, who came on as a substitute on Saturday, picked up a calf injury.

As a result, the Canterbury duo of Slade and Taylor have been called up to the squad.

Former All Blacks U20 captain Luke Whitelock and Hurricanes flank Brad Shields also come into contention as a result to worries over the fitness of Luke Romano and Liam Messam. Romano and Messam are carrying groin and hamstring injuries respectively.
