@KiwiLad - "what is beneath the underachievers?" an array of players all wanting to wear the Green and Gold with pride and appreciation, who will perform to the best of their abilities and do Aussie proud. Even if their ability is not better than the incumbents their attitude will be and that counts for a lot.

I think it really just highlights Australia's lack of depth. With the likes of Beale, Cooper and OConner either unfit or out of sorts, they are always going to struggle.

Walaroo, what is beneath the underachievers??

Sadly for all of us (I do not wish to see your lot getting beaten by anyone north of the equator) the stocks in Aus rugby are incredibly bare at present.

Robbie has had you at 2 in the world for most of his tenure, quite an achievement considering depth/prop issues beyond his control.

The basic structure of Aus rugby needs to change, more effort put into growing the grass roots, as opposed to trying to field 5 teams at s 15 level, when you have enough decent players for 3.

presuming they have more than just deans? what about the defence, attack (as if), kicking, scrum, backs, forwards coaches? they are very anonymous.

Robbie if you are intent on getting us back on track then stop beating around the bush and admit that you have failed in very specific areas. The first thing in solving a problem is admitting you have one.

Something needs to change soon including loyalties to under-performers.

melkdave - could not agree more re the state of Aussie Rugby but there are young guys coming up all over the place but very few will get a shot when Deans stick to the old and sub standard players he is familiar with. Samo is well past his use by date and one dimensional - anyone with the surname Faaaaainga is not International standard. Rob Horne is not Ist Grade standard. The Props are past it (with the exception of the Waratahs lad who is injured. Simmons is a soft pudding and should not be allowed out of crochet class and TPN is long gone.

Now I could list my preferred 15 but I cant think of that many. Deans needs to go as does any one currently involved in 20s player development. The talent is there is you look at Shute Shield but someone has to bite the bullet and give them a crack. Another loss with a rookie team learning and building is far more acceptable than another loss with the current substandard lot..... fear the Arggies

I would have (if fit)

15 Beale

14 Mitchell

13 AAC

12 Oconnor

11 Ioane

10 Cooper

9 Genia

To be fair their forwards have done ok but the backs look terrible, worst I've ever seen Australians play. They've all lost confidence at the same time, except AAC who has probably been their best.

@ melkdave. For Christs sake! Reds didn't win the Super Rugby 10 years ago. Where are the so many young Reds players? R. Deans ignored when last year when he should have given some of them a break. Don't say we don't have players. More correctly, we don't have a loyal coach to recognize and harness talent like R. Simmons, J. Hansen, B.Daley and N. Cummins.

At least it good to see N. Share is not in your 15. People are coming to their senses that this guy is just over-rated and major liability.

I'm sorry but I have no respect for a hopeless coach like you, not anymore. Rugby Championship was your last chance. Officially, you're the worst Wallabies coach ever. What do you do during training anyway because I can't see anything good or constructive week-in, week-out and yet you keep putting faith in the individual players that are proving over-rated?

R. Deans has gone from being stupid to totally crazy and this guy has destroyed the Wallabies since taking charge in 2008. Wallabies lost a backline great M. Giteau because of this myopic coaching. Now I realize, 'Gits' was not the problem, it was R. Deans and his poor coaching. At least with 'Gits' playing, we were assured of a quality no.12 and a sting in attack. But look what mess R. Deans has put us in now.

On Saturday, I didn't see any enterprising play from the Wallabies, no great set-move from set-piece play, no line-breaks so I'm demanding answerers from this hopeless coach now. What a shameful record 3/17 against ABs. I'm sure even P.Lam or M.Foley could have done better than that. You're really bad.

If you have any shame then you will resign and move on. That's what professionals do in the modern era. Just go to Europe, take a break with family, coach a few clubs and see what you can do from there. Maybe coach Japan in future. But not the Wallabies please. We, Australians, don't need you. We have capable people that can do a better job then you, so do us a favour aye. You had your chances but you just don't have it. You're not the guy. You're not our guy?

I'm pretty sure, NZRU will not give you any chance now. They're results-driven people and such a non-performer just has no chance.

It's amazing - a Kiwi is the best rugby coach (S. Hansen) and also a Kiwi is the worst (R. Deans).

Trinats, who would you reaplace him with??? LINK, After 1 s15 victory??

Is Robbie really the problem??? Or is it far deeper than that??

Aus s15 sides were all poor this year, even by there own standards.

Is the problem not more related to lack of depth, perhaps no national version of the ITM or Currie cups?? Yes we loose money during the ITM cup, but every year it tosses us up a rare gem or two.

I amnot being an Aus basher, just pointing out what appear to be facts!

As ive said before sacking R.Deans wont solve any of Australias problems. Its the lack of quality players in general which is the true problem. The really shocking state of the frontrow ,where austalian teams have had over a decade to hone /turn players into good international props ,and failed misrably, also the midfield now looks totally barren of class players ,wheres the new Horan or Ela ect no where in sight. the current crop are very average at best D.Nutrica just what are you doing for your money i wonder.,having just this year sacked the national backs coach, the attack is now non exsistant and the defence a shambles ,having to scramble everytime ,rather than stop the opposistion on the gainline..Also where is the intensity it looks non exsistant this season .The wallabies will really have to front up and show a hell of alot more than they have so far imo,or the bokke will just run over them ,dominate and win easily R.Deans i feel may have to make some radical decisions.and maybe blood some youngsters for the future and just write off this years Rugby Championship. But i cant see that being politically doable atm.So heres my 15 to play against the bokke

15)A.ACopper

14)D.Mitchel

13)JOC

12)McCabe -if fit

11)D.Ioanie

10)B.Barnes-just because his the only 1 showing any kind of form ,if only CL was fit

9)W.Genia

8)R.Samo

7)M.Hooper

6)S.Higginbottom

5)S.Tinamu

4)R.Simmons

3)B.Al;exander

2)TNP

1)j.J.Slipper-Only because i feel B.Robinson is more suited as an impact player now

Bench-B.Robinson-S.Moore-N.Sharpe-B.Mowen-L.Gill-N.Cummins-K.Beale only beacuse he can cover so many positions ,but only called on if really needed though injury as his way out of form.
