Kankowski only good on front foot and dreadful in wet and when he plays in uk. Alberts at 8 with Daniel and Coetzee is better balance wise. Would prefer Kolisi to Daniel with Coetzee at blindside where he should play

I like this guys Keegan Daniels, epitomises that saying "it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog". I think he has been a real guts n all player for the sharks, not the kind to just roll over

Kanko is great at SR. But for some reason has never shined for the boks. Keegan has definitely earned his spot so well done!

Whoever is playing will be more enterprising than Spies, who can't tackle, leans on rucks and hasn't carried a ball with any threat in at international level in some time. This would have been a perfect opportunity for Josh Strauss to have a run out. Daniel is good but I just think he is too small for an international 8 at under 100kg. I think it would have made more sense to put him at openside, move Coetzee to blindside and have Alberts at 8 where he has played a lot of rugby but it doesn't really make much difference come game time.

Well with Kankowski not available Daniel is a better option imo than Spies even if he wasnt injured.,As a openside he offers just a bit more ,and he carries well ..Of course the pumas backrow are no little shy violets either ,.Their clash should be epic ,and imo will decide who gets momentum and who wins in the end.As the battle of the breakdown is crucial to both teams

Kankowski is not available due to his contract with Toyota Verblitz. SARU didn't have enough time to negotiate his absense. Kanko will be back next year though. He only signed a 6-months deal in Japan.

In my opinion Kankowski should start at 8, I agree with georgesmith. Keegan is more a 6. Of course he can play at 8, but Kankowski has that extra power (weight) to wreck into the defense.
I still have in mind the massive hit he got against the Chief's prop at the SR final and got up like nothing happend.
Kankowski is my n8 for SA.

K.Daniel at number eight doesn't too enterprising. He is more suited at number six, i think.

Let us be honest here.............is Spies really a big loss to the Boks? Personally I dont think so and Daniels is a quality player. His slightly smaller frame is substituted by his engine. As a kiwi I rate him very highly and look forward to Spies warming the wood. SARU ballsed up with Konkowski as well - he is class and leagues above Spies in play.
Leave the Bulls out of the game, they play antiquated rugby and its not good enough for the style that will be played in this Championship (stupid name).
