Foot injury: Gordon D'Arcy
Ireland centre Gordon D'Arcy has been ruled out of the rest of the Six Nations due to a stress injury in his right foot.
D'Arcy was experiencing some discomfort in his right foot following the game against England. This failed to settle down before the Ireland training session on Thursday and following a scan on that afternoon it was confirmed that the Wexford man has a stress injury to a bone in his foot.
The injury will require immobilisation in a boot for at least four weeks with a projected return to play of six weeks pending further tests and specialist review.
The Ireland training squad for the Scotland test match week will be announced on Sunday evening following the completion of games in the RaboDirect Pro12.

Terrible news. Brilliant player who was in the form of his life. It would be nice to see the likes of Luke Marshall get a look-in now but knowing Cabbage Head he's probably going to put his ginger love-child Earls in midfield against Scotland.

Well that makes things a bit better for Ireland, maybe James Downey will get a run?

So this gives us :
Stringer (in great form)
Ronan O'Gara
Cave
BOD
Gilroy
Trimble
Kearney
as a back line against Scotland.
Oh dear.

Ooh not looking good. Darcy, Mccarthy, and Healy out with Odriscoll looking doubtful. Having said that, Ireland do have some good players waiting in the wingers. Hoping to see Marshall replace D'arcy, he's looked absolute class for Ulster, and my first choice 12 for Ireland.

That will probably be good for Ireland, D'Arcy is a very overrated player. Solid, but nothing special at all
