Carried off: George North

Wales are facing an anxious wait to find out the extent of the damage wing George North sustained against Ulster after being stretchered off on Friday.

Lions hopeful North had to be placed in a brace and backs coach Mark Jones confirmed that the wing had 'issues' with his head and neck.

"I only know what I saw on the replay. He's had a knee to the head and he's struggling with some head and neck issues," he said after the game.

Wales are already struggling with injured players ahead of February's Six Nations Championship, with fly-half Rhys Priestland ruled out with a ruptured Achilles while Cardiff pair Jamie Roberts and Leigh Halfpenny are on their way back.

Props Craig Mitchell and Aaron Jarvis, hookers Huw Bennett and Ken Owens, locks Alun Wyn Jones, Ian Evans and Luke Charteris as well as blindside flanker Dan Lydiate are also sidelined.
