@KiwiRooster the cheeky Scotsman was Laidlaw - the outhalf.
In any case, this is bogus - it is de facto not a "team of Round 2", as Round 2 is not over. It is a team of the PR selection of the best players of the 2 games in the 2nd weekend of the 6 nations.

Farrell has yet to impress in attack. His defense is solid (and like that of England as a whole over-rated IMO). He was behind Roberts in the 12 stakes.
I would have said that Jones and Cole were the picks for #3 berth.
Lions talk for anyone is premature - that is for next six nations not this one.

If the team is picked on 2 games, then Farrell would never get in given you have a proven kicker in Halfpenny (who can also score tries) and, based on 2 games, Farrell has done little more than kick (very good) goals. Also a little generous putting Robshaw in. I think Rennie is vastly superior over the 2 games so far.

Interesting to pick a welsh man in the second-row, considering they have the worst Line-out in the tournament thus far.
Have to say, Ross Rennie(7) and Sean Lamont(12) stood out more for me... I also thought Priestland had a poor game, I'm not 100% sure about him at this level(just my opinion). No mention for Zanni or Masi either, I thought they had good games also.

Cittadini go absolutely muched by Corbisiero... just like Castro did before he went off.

Robshaw? For tripping Parisse? Fair team otherwise, maybe Adam Jones at 3, however I like when new faces are mentioned.
That try from Benvenuti should have earned him a mention, at least. Ashton was unable to reduce the gap.

Completely agree with Jose_Jones.
Is Chris Robshaw actually picking this team every week? I really can't understand how he's beaten Rennie both times. Even Shingler was better than Robshaw. It will be interesting to see if he retains the captaincy for the next game.
And as for the British Lions XV... I guarantee you that a lot of that will change. Remember that in 2008, the in form back row in the six nations were Scotland's with the infamous Killer B's, even outplaying Ireland's in Dublin. The following year, none of them even made the Lions squad.
Best not to be too premature just because one team has a good showing.
And I'd say if Conor Murray keeps improving at the rate he is, he's most likely the no9 next year in Australia.

I'd swap Priestland for Laidlaw. Priestland wasn't at his best, Laidlaw was. The teams were never even is all. ;)
Also Roberts over Farrell. Roberts was showing some of his oldschool skills in the second half, breaking nearly every tackle. Farrell was anonymous save his kicking.

I'm not sure about Farrell's inclusion; if all that was required is his kicking from the tee we might as well go back to 10-man rugby. And Robshaw was impressive, but as a blindside; he did very little in the role that a seven is supposed to play. Also, Cittadini? England didn't have it all their own way in the scrum but came out on top overall, over both Castro and Cittadini, and Cole showed more around the park than his opposite number, too.
