Bitching NH - you have bleated on for so many years now for Arg to be included in SH competition and now we have it's quite obvious a little time by you guys is not that big a deal. It's is ultimately in the Interest of developing rugby union that we include other teams as to broaden the rugby game.

Considering nearly all the Arg play rugby in NH you could of included them in you Best competion in the world six nations, but I guess now that Arg regularly beat you thy wanted to play south.

I feel for you NH as now you will all slip down a place in world rankings. Good luck to Wales though a genuine rugby nation and really happy to see them at he top of their game, just not against SA.

NH you can keeping pouring all that money you got into your game as SH are happy to except it especially as its not developing your youth coming through. A real bunch of smart guys you have there.

Yes, I feel the same. It should be played in June or July in my opinion.

The World Cup is a Summer event, not a Winter one.

Well Herbman ive just had a look at the stats and SA have lost 18 times against 6N opposition in the past 10 years! Id say thats regualr enough! Don't try and put yourselves alongside NZ cos your not in their league. If both were in top form id rate France better than SA, and id rate this current Welsh team better than SA aswell actually. If SA do a clean sweep against England then that may prove a point but right now SA are World Cup Quarter Finalists and Trinations wooden spoonists so id keep the bleeting down for now.

"Declaration of war" wtf haha.

The entire rugby calendar is a mess and its not just the NH clubs. Super rugby teams are having to stop for 3 weeks just before the playoffs for the june test window. That my friend is a joke. Kills all momentum of the competition, teams, players and fans alike. I get what Mr Bouscatel is saying but to think its just poor old france getting the hard end of the stick is just a bunch of bs

note this is an IRB decision, IRB Council comprising representatives of the rugby unions/groups - including of course the French and English, and is headed by Frenchman Lapasset. Not quite the conspiracy he makes out it is.

@melkdave - I trust you mean the FFR rather than the FIR. It'd be a while before the Italian rugby federation put manners on the French clubs!

@kybone... quite regularly beaten? In your dreams, go look at the W/L stats.

I think a lot of you are missing a key point- the World Cup is already played at a time which fits in with the Super Rugby calender and the fact that the European club season starts at the same time is ignored. This change now means that European clubs have another 2 weeks of the season to cope without their best players. If you all think that international rugby should take precedence then heres an idea- do what we have to do in Europe and play the Rugby Championship during the Super Rugby season! Overlapping our international and club seasons has become a fact of life in Europe where as the SH club and international competitions seem to have been arranged to come one after the other. Everything about the international calender seems to have been arranged for the benefit of the 3 SH powers. It couldn't be more unbalanced if SANZAR took over the running of the game from the IRB.

@KingShark Don't talk wet! South Africa were no better at the World Cup than England, and you've been quite regularly beaten by the likes of Ireland but you somehow believe that your top 3 club sides would beat all NH nations??? Delusional doesn't come close.

What a nonsense; clubs can and should be able to play academy graduates and second-string players to continue through such a tournament if necessary, there are no excuses. I suspect this is less to do with fixtures though and more to do with television coverage.

The IRB might as well have not compromised if the the French are going to behave like this .

"It's the opposite of democracy," he says ......so is democracy when you have everything your way Mr Bouscatel ?

@KingShark: Smugger comment. So easy to say. And I could as well return the favour: your boks could easily be beaten in Leinster or Clermont ! So I would gently invite you no to go that route.

The same bunch of nob-heads that wanted to postpone the France-Ireland six nations match until the 2012-2013 season, not to disrupt the 2011-2012 French league. Typical French behaviour !!! - let them eat cake and off with their heads !!!

Boohoo. So boring NH club rugby is more important in his eyes than SH test rugby.

I'd still love to see a NH national team try to beat any of the top 3 NZ or SA clubs. Just to put things in perspective.

@melkdave

Hear, hear.

The IRB is there to administer the game internationally, not French and English club rugby to the exclusion of international interests.

Bouscatel's case is all the more ridiculous when one considers how the northern hemisphere urged Sanzar to include Argentina. Now that Sanzar has done so, is The Championship -- which, please note, my northern chums, is played over three continents, not one -- to be denied adequate time?

Bouscatel needs to pull his head in and recognise that international duties come first....and club a distant second.

I really feel the french clubs should grow up and look at things on a global scale rather than their own petty concerns. The rugby Championship is a international tourament not a pigling league fixture, where the clubs can blood new exciting players,as they did last yearThe 2 clubs most affected last year Leicester and Toulouse have /did recover and reached their respective national finals after all.The french clubs have to understand that the world doesent turn or stop at their whims, and in the greater scheme of things they are just one cog in the rugby machine. The FIR really need to put the league organisation firmly its place imo.As its making french rugby a laughing stock
