I think the Boks should be more worried about the breakdown. Wales were schooled by Samoa and yet had a good day at the office against the Boks... I think if they can avoid too many turnovers they will win, don't compete at the breakdown and Samoa will be a different animal altogether.

Correct - Jonah never got one against you boys. 12 games (9 starts) and no tries! I remember Joost being put out on the wing to mark him, as he was your best defender.. worked a treat.

Interestingly, when I looked this up I noticed that Cullen (a totally different type of attacking threat) had the great record of 7 tries in 9 tests against the Boks.

Personally, I don't see Tuilagi being that much of a threat, as he won't be getting too much front foot ball, or room to build up steam. The boks forwards may not totally dominate, but I think they'll have the edge on the Samoans... making it tough for them to attack.

i see you n your coach both need to learn about tackling. if i (not you or your coach) tackle him from the side, there is no way he can offload. perhaps i should write a book about tackling techniques.

I 've just noticed that James Small is mentioned as someone who stopped Jonah Lomu, Perhaps not, but it limited what LOMu was able to do. I Was the person who emailed Small and noted that the English wingers did not concentrate on tackling with a concerted and conscious effort to wrap theeir arms around Jonay and not stick their arms out in the surrender fashion proper physical focus by any tackler should slow the opponent down sufficiently so for the tempo to be countered. Who I May be is of no consequence but when I tackled someone they were tackled, full stop.

Do you know that only Brian Lima raced down the field against Jonah Lomu tackling the winger fair and square? Alesana is heavy and can run straight at any player, fordwards or backs. Just let him pass you and then tackle him from the side. Finish.

Go low and go hard.... and get him before he gets going - cause once that happens you are in trouble. Some may laugh but both of our smaller wings Hougaard and Aplon are pretty damn good at getting in low for the tackle. Habana is brave but not the man for the job.

The boks were able to stop Jonah Lomu. It's pretty easy. You get him down before he has reached cruising speed. Just hope and pray he does not receive the ball at full speed.
